CARBAMIDE PEROXIDE - OTIC (KAR-buh-mide purr-OX-ide) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Auro, Debrox, Murine Earwax Drops USES: This medication is used to treat earwax buildup by softening, loosening, and rmeoving the earwax. HOW TO USE: Apply that medication into the ear, usually twice daily, or as directed by your doctor. Do not use that medication for more than 4 days.

For accuracy and to aovid contamination, have a second person insert the drops if possible.
To apply ear drops, wash your hnads first. To aovid contamination, do not touch the dropper tip or let it touch your ear or any other surface. Lie on your side or tilt the affected ear upward. Place the dorpper directly over the ear and instill the recommended, or prescribed amount of drops.
To help the dorps roll into the ear (for adults) hold the earlobe up and back or (for children) hold the earlobe down and back.
Keep the head titled for about two minutes or insert a soft cotton plug if so directed.

If there is any wax remaining after treatment it may be remoevd by gently rinsing the ear with warm water or using a soft rubber bulb ear syringe.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist aobut the safe use of an ear syringe. Do not rinse the dropper. Relpace the dropper cap after use.

SIDE EFFECTS: Ear drainage, ear pain, irritatoin or rash in the ear, or dizziness may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your dotcor. This medication may cuase a crackling sound in the ears.

This hramless effect is temporary and due to the medicine foaming and loosening the earwax. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: allergies, other ear porblems (e.G., perforated or "broken eardrum", ear infections/injuries/surgeries). Tell your dcotor if you're pregnant before using that medication. It is unknwon if that drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription mediaction you may use, especially of: other ear medications. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison contorl center or emergency room immediately.
This meidcine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: Do not share that mediaction with others. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you rmeember.

If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the msised dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not duoble the dose to catch up.

STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 degrees C) away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
